The experience of nicotine dependence among adolescent smokers

A cigarette contains nicotine substance that can cause smokers to become dependent on nicotine. Smokers who are already addicted will experience withdrawal syndrome. The earlier age people smoke at, the higher level of dependence they have. adverse effect is find it difficult stop smoking. This study aimed investigate experiences adolescent was a qualitative conducted with phenomenological approach. Data were collected through an in-depth interview five informants selected purposive sampling technique. Triangulation employed enhance credibility study. analyzed using resulted in four main themes, namely: start smoking; causes perceptions smoking cessation. Conclusion be drawn for this abstinence led anxiety, decreased concentration and craving cigarette. need educate about symptoms anticipate when appeared.
